Join us for an inspiring evening at the Mansfield Investment In Character Dinner, an annual celebration supporting Longhorn Council, Scouting America. This special event brings together community leaders, dedicated volunteers, and supporters of Scouting to recognize outstanding achievements and invest in the next generation of leaders. Your participation helps empower youth in North and Central Texas by funding transformative experiences, leadership development programs, and outdoor adventures that instill values of character, citizenship, and service.
We are honored to recognize Dr. Claude Cunningham with the Investment In Character Award for his lifelong dedication to education, community service, and Scouting. A Fort Worth native, Dr. Cunningham’s 39-year career in education saw him serve as a teacher, principal, and Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Mansfield school district. A two-term District Chairman for the Scouting America, he has been deeply involved in youth development, Kiwanis, the AMAYMCA, and his church. His commitment to leadership and service extends to his family, with both of his sons achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. A passionate traveler, artist, and lifelong learner, Dr. Cunningham embodies the spirit of Scouting, making a lasting impact on generations of students and his community.
