Vacay, your way. Our Family Adventure Campground experience is all about getting out – out of your vacation rut and, of course, out of the house. Open to all families, the Family Adventure Camp offers a unique experience for adventurers of all ages. Bring the whole family – cousins, grandparents, even Uncle Steve – to see just how great the great outdoors truly is, with this one-of-a-kind program that’s open to all families, not just Scouts.
Camp Tahuaya, located in Belton Texas is currently undergoing a massive renovation with a grand-opening planned for Fall 2024. The property will feature modern accommodations for families with all levels of camping experience:
Family Suites: Reminiscent of safari adventures, our Family Suites are roomy, comfortable, and eco-friendly. They provide guests with an experiential accommodation with over 250 square feet of air-conditioned living space and 70 square feet of front porch for enjoying the night sky and relaxing after a full day of program. With your nearest neighbor fifty feet away, families will enjoy a secluded setting tucked into the most tranquil parts of camp. Several Family Suites will include private restrooms and ADA accessible accommodations. (Coming Soon)
Cabins: Looking for a cabin getaway overlooking a picturesque lake? We've got you covered with our family cabins. Providing a tiny-home feel, each family cabin is locally fabricated in a Texas factory and is built to residential code standards. Guests will be able to relax as a family on the porch after a long day of exciting programs. (Coming Soon)
Canvas Wall Tents: The perfect tent makes all the difference. These canvas wall tents are an updated, modern approach to the classic wall tent, combining the best features of generations of wall tents to create the ultimate camp tent. Built using heavyweight cotton-blend and mesh fabrics, nylon webbing, waterproof zippers and galvanized steel frames, these tents are made for heavy use of many seasons. Each wall tent sleeps two campers and includes bunks, and mattresses. Placed on an elevated, composite platform, families will experience the outdoors while staying dry and comfortable in our wall tents. (Available Now)
RV Sites: With our high-quality pull-through and back-in RV sites, families will be able to enjoy an outdoor experience while utilizing the amenities of their recreational vehicle. Each RV site includes water and electrical hook-up. A laundry and shower facility will also be located at the RV park. Guests will enjoy all the benefits of a Scouting experience at Camp Tahuaya when they bring their RV to this modern park for their short-term stay. (Coming Soon)
Bring Your Own Tent Campsites: For families who are seasoned campers, our BYOT Campsites provide the perfect space to experience the outdoors using your own camping equipment. (Available Now)
With flexible adventure options, you can choose where you stay and what you do, with a spread of lodging options ranging from bring your own tent campsites and traditional-style wall tents to luxury deluxe tents and hotel-style rooms (for anyone who prefers a more “glampy” experience).
